RivetKing® Structural Blind Rivets Catalog Information

Stemlock®: Steel/Aluminum

The Stemlock® is an advanced structural blind rivet that has among the highest shear and tensile values available because the mandrel is locked into the shear plane. The internal locking mechanism ensures positive mandrel retention and will break flush with the head. This is considered a structural heavy-duty rivet. This blind rivet is perfect for thin, soft, or brittle material, or imperfect holes. The body diameters of the Stemlock is ¼”. Available in multiple grip ranges, in either aluminum or steel. Head is standard dome head.

In-Lock®: Aluminum, Steel, or Stainless Steel Internal Locking

The Tigerbolt® is a structural rivet with an external locking feature. This locking feature is visible after the rivet is installed. The special nose piece that is required to set the rivet creates a small expansion of a shoulder on the mandrel, in a pocket located on the surface of the rivet head. The mandrel is retained within the shear plane yielding high strength under shear loads and the external lock ensures mandrel retention which results in high strength under pullout loads. This is considered a structural heavy-duty rivet. The Tigerbolt® has a wide grip range and is offered in two sizes: 3/16” and 1/4”. Comes with standard dome head, some grip ranges available with countersunk head. Available in aluminum, steel, or stainless steel. Note, a special nose piece is required to set these externally locked structural blind rivets.

In-Lock®: Aluminum, Steel, or Stainless Steel Internal Locking

The In-lock® is a structural rivet with an internal locking feature. The locking feature is not visible when the rivet is installed. The mandrel is retained within the shear plane, yielding high strength under shear loads, and the internal lock assures mandrel retention which results in high strength under pullout loads. This is considered a structural heavy-duty rivet. These rivets are available in aluminum, steel, or stainless steel. The In-lock® has a wide grip range and is offered in three sizes: 3/16”, 1/4”, and 3/8”. Comes with standard dome head, some grip ranges available with countersunk head.

RivetKing® Semi-Structural Blind Rivets Catalog Information

RKQ®: High Strength Open End Self Plugging Blind Rivet

The RKQ® is considered a medium-duty semi-structural blind rivet and is available in aluminum, stainless steel, or steel clear trivalent zinc plating. The head is dome-shaped. The self-plugging properties of this rivet assure that the mandrel is locked within the shear plane which results in superior shear and tensile strength. The RKQ®: is available in three sizes: 1/8”, 5/32”, and 3/16”. Each size has multiple grip ranges. The RKQ® semi-structural blind rivets have a grooved, rattle resistant mandrel which breaks flush with the head when installed in the ideal grip range.

Rivex®: High Strength MultiGrip™

The Rivex® is considered a medium-duty semi-structural blind rivet and is the only rivet in the Multigrip™ family that is offered in stainless steel. (Also offered in steel with clear trivalent zinc plating). Steel parts are available in three head styles: dome, large flange, or countersunk. Stainless steel is available with dome head. Rivex® semi-structural rivets consist of a wider grip range and a higher shear and tensile strength than other Multigrip’s™. The Rivex® contains an easy entry mandrel head that is grooved and blunt pointed. Available in four body diameters, each having multiple grip ranges. Sizes include: 1/8”, 5/32”, 3/16”, and ¼ inch. Its design is rattle resistant and will break flush with the head when installed in the ideal grip range. This rivet offers basic leak resistance qualities.

Trifix™: All Aluminum Tri-Folding

The Trifix ™ is perfect for inconsistent grip ranges or oversized, out-of-round (oblong) holes that are typical in plastics. The Trifix ™ is designed to work like a moly-bolt in that it splits out into three legs at the backside. Its extended bearing surface spreads the load over a wider area to prevent pullout in plastics or other similar soft or thin sheet materials. Trifix ™ is painted in white, black and almond colors. Black anodized is also available. The rivet has an aluminum body and an aluminum mandrel. This is considered a light-duty semi-structural rivet and comes in two body diameters: 5/32” and 3/16”. Grip ranges include, but are not limited to, .040, .157, .275, .354 and .472.

Super Trifix™: All Aluminum High Strength Tri-Folding

The Super Trifix™ is all aluminum and is designed for use in thin sheet metal or soft materials where strength of the riveted joint is of concern. This is considered a light-duty semi-structural rivet. Super Trifix™ semi-structural rivets offer better shear and tensile strength then that of the standard Tri-fix™. The mandrel stays within the shear plane and breaks flush with the head. A neoprene washer can be affixed under the head to make a weather tight seal. The size of this rivet is 3/16”. Note, 3/16” rivets are made according to a din standard in which the body diameter is actually .205 (5.2mm). The 3/16” inch designation has been applied as a reference only as the actual rivet is .205 diameter. Please ensure the hole design is .208 – .221 to accommodate the rivet. Due to the externally locked mandrel, a special nose piece is required for the installation tool.
